This lovely species is endemic to the
mountains of Philippines growing in shaded environment
at elevations between 500 to 1200 meters. It
was recorded in Aurora, Laguna, Quezon and Rizal
on Luzon. Flowers may appear in full greenish-yellow
without any stripes, some with stripes only
on the outside of the petals sepals and lip
and some decorated with stripes even on the
inside.
